Walking in

You'll be greeted at the door.

Check in at the front. Hang your jacket. Grab a seat in the waiting area if your chair isn't ready yet — usually a couple minutes, max.

In the chair

A real consultation.

Before any clippers, scissors, or heat — your barber or stylist will ask what you want, how you wear it, what's worked, what hasn't. Bring photos if you have them. No question is a dumb one.

Walking out

You'll know how to maintain it.

Before you leave, you'll get product recommendations and care tips for your hair type. Pay at the front. Book your next visit while you're there — it's the easiest way to keep your schedule locked.

Always book by your barber or stylist's name — never "any available." It cuts down wait times, prevents no-shows, and means the person who knows your hair gets your chair.

For most cuts and fades — no, come as you are. We'll wash if needed. For salon services like a silk press or blowout, clean, freshly washed hair makes a real difference. Your stylist will confirm what's needed when you book.
Yes — both shops are family-friendly. If you're getting a service done, kids are welcome to wait in the seating area. If they need a cut too, book them a chair of their own. Our barbers are patient with younger clients.
Yes — when chairs are open. To guarantee a spot, especially with your preferred barber or stylist, book online first. Walk-ins are welcome but never guaranteed.

Tipping isn't required, but it's appreciated by your barber or stylist. If you're unsure, 15–20% of your service total is a fair starting point. You can tip directly at the payment terminal or in cash.
No problem — just let us know as early as possible. You can cancel or reschedule directly through the booking confirmation email, or call the shop. Showing up matters; so does giving someone else the chance to grab your spot if you can't make it.
Yes. Walker's Finest was built specifically because Ottawa needed a shop that handles every hair type — straight, wavy, curly, coily. Every barber and stylist here is trained across textures. You're not going to be the first client with your hair type to sit in our chair.
